"Heroes
in the Crowd" is a new book that Brenda High, ("Bullycide
in America"), and Robin Todd, ("The
Proclamation"), are currently working on.
First came "Bullycide
in America:
Moms Speak Out about the bullying/suicide
connection", a wake-up call about
the tragic effects of bullying. Then came
The Bully Police E-Book,
an all-encompassing education
about the subject of bullying. And soon the
call to action, in the form of an e-book, will be called Heroes
in the Crowd. It's time to
Stand
up, Speak Out, Take a Stand & Take Action and stop school bullying
by being, "Heroes in the Crowd".
We are looking for real stories about kids
who have stepped in to help their peers when they have faced bullying problems,
and real stories from victims of bullying who tell how their peer-hero
or peer-heroes saved them from being bullied or protected them from bullies.
If you have a hero story to tell, (simple or unspectacular is okay),
or know of anyone that would like to share their hero story, and
would like to be considered for publication in our book, please send your
story to us. We will send you a release and a free gift, "dUntOthers"
bracelets, as well as a copy of the book when it's done. If
your story is not chosen for the book, we may still use it on the Heroes
in the Crowd website and you will still get the "dUntOthers"
bracelets. (dUntOthers bracelets are in limited quantities, so
when we are out, we are out... Then, we will think of something else to
give.)
Send your story to Robin, robinarizona430
(at) msn (dot) com if you and your friends started a "Stand Out" program
or took action that stopped or helped to stop bullying in your school.
Send your story to Brenda, brenda
(at) jaredstory (dot) com, if you were a victim and a hero or group of heroes,
came to your aid and helped you survive the bullying.
